Cantina Sociale di Trento

From Trento, the Cantina Sociale gathers under its name seven denominations — five Denominazione di Origine Controllata (DOC) and two Indicazione Geografica Tipica (IGT) — covering sixty-three municipalities in the Trentino region. This range extends from the unmistakable red wines of Teroldego Rotaliano to the Trento sparkling wines, the latter bound by a minimum aging period of fifteen months, passing through area denominations like Trentino, Valdadige, and Casteller, and broader regional indications. Supporting this offering are Chardonnay and Pinot nero, chosen bases for the sparkling wines, alongside local varieties such as Müller Thurgau. The cooperative structure is not merely an organizational detail: it is the way in which numerous plots and diverse territorialities converge into defined styles, where the collective scale becomes a comprehensive interpretation of Trentino's wine landscape.
