CANTINE BORGA S.R.L.

Rooted in the Marca Trevigiana since 1940, Cantine Borga carries forward four generations of winemaking in Chiarano, in the province of Treviso, without succumbing to a nostalgic view of the craft. Its production revolves around two denominations: the Lison DOCG whites, crafted from Tai and regional grape varieties, and the Piave Malanotte DOCG reds. It is the latter that defines the house's character: the Raboso, aged for thirty-six months, expresses the structure and longevity inherent to this part of Veneto. Family management imbues each vintage with its own distinct character, seeking a balance between classic international grape varieties and native cultivars to bring out the terroir of the area. Visitors to the winery will find a concrete operational philosophy, where aging time and varietal choice matter more than rhetoric: a visit to Chiarano is well worth it to taste Lison and Malanotte side-by-side and discern their differences firsthand.
