In the historic cellars of Barolo, where the eponymous wine took shape in the 19th century, Cantine dei Marchesi di Barolo preserves a continuity of six generations. Here, Nebbiolo reigns supreme: Barolo, at thirteen degrees alcohol and with a minimum of thirty-eight months of aging, and Barbaresco, which requires twenty-six months, represent the two faces of the great Langhe reds for aging, measured not in seasons but in years of waiting in barrel.
