In Cirò Marina, on the Calabrian coast of Crotone, Cantine SICILIANI works with `Gaglioppo`, an ancient grape variety that defines the character of two contiguous denominations: `Cirò DOC`, distributed across the four municipalities that fix its boundaries, and `Melissa DOC`. From here, primarily red wines are born, capturing mineral intensity and warm spices, built on the foundation of natural tannins and the inherent depth of this variety. The portfolio follows a precise progression: from more immediate reds to superior and riserva versions, each expression held together by the same varietal imprint. Every vintage reflects the sunny character of this strip of Calabria and the geographical limits that protect the identity of the two appellations.
