Cantine Veglio Di Veglio Giuseppe

Asti DOCG

Cantine Veglio operates in the Asti DOCG area, the Piedmontese region that has made aromatic white grape varieties its hallmark. The denomination, spread across fifty-one municipalities, offers a wide range, and the winery explores it fully: from still whites to traditional spumanti, up to Metodo Classico, all built around Moscato bianco and complementary aromatic varieties that enhance its fragrance. The production regulations set the parameters—at least 11.5 percent alcohol and a minimum of one month of aging—within which the balance between structure and aromatic freshness takes shape. It is within this space that Veglio seeks its own measure, aiming to capture the sunny and fragrant character that distinguishes Asti from other Italian spumanti. Focusing on a single, multifaceted denomination means embracing its many expressions without losing focus: the challenge is to convey, type after type, the recognizability of a grape variety that has made the name of this land familiar far beyond Piedmont's borders.
