Cantine Virgili Luigi

In Mantova, on the Lombard side of the Custoza DOC, Cantine Virgili Luigi cultivates clayey and morainic soils that support the denomination's typical white grape varieties. Garganega, Trebbiano Toscano, and Bianca Fernanda grow on different terroirs, between fifty and one hundred and fifty meters above sea level, where the moderate altitude and soil matrix are sufficient to differentiate the wines. From these grapes, a range is born, extending from fresh and immediate whites to more structured riserva wines, each reflecting the mineral character of the eastern Lombard plains. The single denomination handled thus becomes a spectrum of interpretations from the same basin, from everyday drinking to the ambition of aging. The winery remains open to visitors throughout the year: those passing through Mantova can visit the estate and compare, in a single tasting, the different souls of Custoza.
