Carlo Casetta
For three generations, Carlo Casetta has cultivated a five-hectare vineyard in Roero, the sandy strip on the left bank of the Tanaro river. The work revolves around the two souls of the territory: Nebbiolo for structured reds and Arneis for expressive whites and sparkling wines, all aged for the minimum twenty months required by the DOCG. Thus, a single denomination, interpreted across multiple registers and distilled into the 'RAIZ' line, where rootedness in Roero and a desire to experiment coexist without contradiction. Each bottle is made exclusively from grapes from the family's estates distributed across the 19 municipalities of the area, guaranteeing a direct link between vineyard and cellar. The winery welcomes visitors for private tastings and walks among the vineyards: those who book can stroll through the Roero hills and personally verify how a single DOCG can speak two languages, the austere one of Nebbiolo and the fragrant one of Arneis, both measured by the twenty-month waiting period.
