Carnevale Libero

Arancia del Gargano IGPLimone Femminello del Gargano IGP

On the terraces of northern Gargano, where the sea-exposed slopes form warm and sheltered microclimates, Carnevale Libero cultivates citrus fruits protected by a geographical indication. The lemon groves climb the promontory, and this vertical geography shapes both the yield and the character of the fruit. The reference is the Limone Femminello del Gargano, in its lustrino and fusillo varieties, which in the salt-kissed orchards accumulates intense aromas and a persistent fragrance. Alongside it lives the promontory's other denomination, the Arancia del Gargano, part of the same protected system that covers three municipalities and defends its sensory signature and agronomic identity. This is not large-scale production, but the safeguarding of a citrus niche that owes everything to the encounter between southern latitude, altitude, and proximity to the sea. Each fruit bears the specific mark of a strip of coast where the citrus grove remains an almost heroic endeavor.
