For over fifty years, Casasola has cultivated the slopes of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, in Manzano, where hand-harvesting dictates a meticulous relationship with the soil. The winery has primarily focused on the white wines that define the northeast, from Friulano to Sauvignon, interpreting the hilly landscape through grapes that demand low yields and constant attention. Three DOCG denominations organize the repertoire into distinct registers. Ramandolo translates Verduzzo Friulano into an expansive sweetness; Rosazzo gathers dry white wines with a mineral and straightforward character; Colli Orientali del Friuli Picolit isolates the territory's rarest grape, offered in both dry, natural versions and as a concentrated passito. It is a catalog that prioritizes depth over quantity, where each label tells a precise story of the Friulian hills and the challenges of grape varieties that rarely forgive approximation.
