CASCINA CHICCO Soc.Agr.Semplice
Canale · Province of Cuneo · Piemonte
CASCINA CHICCO distributes over fifty hectares across the crus of the Langhe and Roero, from Canale to Barbaresco and Monforte d'Alba, assigning each grape variety to the zone that best expresses it. Four generations have refined this geography of action: Nebbiolo on the noble slopes of Barolo and Barbaresco, with aging periods of thirty-eight and twenty-six months respectively, and Dolcetto on the soils of Dogliani and Diano d'Alba, where the grape finds fruitiness and immediacy. The four DOCG denominations tell two complementary stories: great reds for aging and wines for earlier drinking, held together by a single logic of vocation. The underground cellar, carved into the sandy veins of Roero and lined with brick, functions as an aging control chamber and a territorial archive. The cascina opens its doors for visits and tastings: a tangible opportunity to explore the Cuneo Langhe through its wines, from the everyday Dolcetto to the Barolo destined for years of cellaring.
