Nestled among the hills of Asti's Monferrato, in Castel Boglione, Cascina Garitina has been operating since 1900 and is now in its fourth generation, with Gianluca Morino at the helm. The thread connecting its foundation to the present is the discipline in the cellar, applied to three DOCG denominations that narrate the ampelographic richness of eastern Piedmont. The range revolves around the area's most emblematic grape variety, Barbera d'Asti — which rests for at least four months before release — and expands to include the white and red blends of Terre Alfieri and the aromatic, niche Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato, among the region's most unique reds.
