Cascina Migliorate

At Cascina Migliorate, in Galbiate, winemaking progresses in constant dialogue with the Alto Lario territory. The winery cultivates Verdese bianco, Chardonnay, and Pinot bianco within the Terre Lariane IGT — a denomination spanning one hundred and eighty municipalities — focusing on whites of straw clarity and mineral precision. In the cellar, the method becomes clear: delicate destemming and soft pressing accompany each harvest towards fermentation in steel, supported by weekly bâtonnage that builds structure without sacrificing freshness. The result are taut wines, where minerality is not an accent but the backbone, and where the lake dictates the rhythm of maturation. It's an interpretation of Alto Lario that asks to be understood as a place to inhabit, not merely to consume: the glass reveals a landscape even before a grape variety, and invites one to read it with the same slowness with which it was built.
