Fiegl's story begins with a 1782 land purchase in Oslavia—the "Meja," whose Slovene name means border. Today, seven family members spanning generations tend vineyards across Collio Goriziano's rolling hills. They work each plot meticulously to unlock the singular character of *ponca* soil and ventilated microclimate, channeling day-night temperature swings into wines of clarity and precision. White varieties—Ribolla gialla, Friulano, Sauvignon—become their vocabulary for conversation across time and place.
