Fuligni
Montalcino · Province of Siena · Toscana
Brunello di Montalcino DOCG
Fuligni spans 100 hectares across Montalcino's northeastern slope, where Brunello production took root. The winery's 14 hectares of Sangiovese vineyards occupy the historic core: I Cottimelli sits at 380–450 metres elevation, while younger east-facing plots rest on tufa and clay. The holdings include vines over forty years old, heritage clones with lower plant density that echo earlier viticulture. From these diverse terroirs emerges Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, aged 48 months minimum, marked by the layered character of elevation and soil variation.
