Il Dominio di Bagnoli

Il Dominio di Bagnoli cultivates Raboso Piave grapes across the rolling vineyards of Bagnoli di Sopra, in Padova's Veneto heartland. A singular estate spanning a millennium, it draws agricultural roots to 954 AD, when Longobard duke Amerigo granted these lands to Padua's cathedral chapter. Benedictine monks reclaimed and farmed the terrain, their legacy embedded in the medieval cellars, granaries, and courtyards still standing. By the 17th century, the Widmann counts had erected one of Veneto's grandest monumental complexes here—a landmark that captured the imagination of Venetian writers and artists.
