MASSERIA FRATTASI

At Montesarchio in Benevento, Masseria Frattasi occupies a restored eighteenth-century estate where the Clemente family cultivates Aglianico del Taburno DOCG. The vineyard sits beneath Taburno, the ancient mountain of deep gorges whose Greek colonizers first brought the vine three thousand years ago. Their reds and rosés, aged a minimum of 24 months, reflect volcanic soils and mountain altitude. Ceramic labels by Settecento ceramist Giustiniani—executed in Naples' classical yellow, green, and blue—mark each bottle as a deliberate link between heritage and contemporary winemaking.
