Pianta Grossa

Pianta Grossa was born in 2014 from a deliberate act of continuity: founder Luciano named his Donnas winery after the horse chestnut tree that had dominated the farmhouse courtyard for nearly four centuries before disease claimed it in 2009. The vine terraces climb the steep moraine slopes behind, their pergola training catching sun on Nebbiolo Picotendro vines—the very plot that inspired the choice of name. Each Valle d'Aosta DOC bottle carries that same architectural presence: wines that stand on their own steep ground, shaped by altitude and time.
