Podere Poggio Scalette took root in 1991 when Vittorio Fiore and Adriana Assjè di Marcorà revived abandoned plots on Ruffoli hill in Greve in Chianti. Over five years, strategic acquisitions expanded the estate to 40 hectares, with 15 dedicated to vines producing Sangiovese-based Chianti Classico. The adjacent property acquired in 1996 brought a functional cantina and outbuildings, establishing the infrastructure for focused winemaking in the heart of Chianti's protected zone.
