Brothers Gabriele and Maurizio Ferron inherit five generations of rice milling at Pila Vecia, their family's landmark facility established in 1650 at Isola della Scala. The original mill machinery still operates at the heart of their estate, now protected as a historic monument. They cultivate Riso Nano Vialone Veronese IGP across Verona's traditional flatlands, employing crop rotation and fresh spring water. Visitors can tour the mill and taste their rice directly, connecting with a living heritage that bridges centuries of agrarian innovation in the Veneto.
