Terreno

The Ruhne family established Terreno in 1988, transforming their Greve in Chianti estate into a laboratory for terroir expression. What began as table wine production evolved into a mission to reveal sangiovese's complexity through organic viticulture, certified since 2014. Today, the winery operates with near-complete self-sufficiency: solar panels generate electricity, forest management provides heating, and an on-site lake supplies irrigation. This integration of regenerative practice and winemaking craft defines their Chianti Classico DOCG releases.
