Vegi occupies a stone-built structure that began life as a 12th-century watchtower before centuries as a noble hunting lodge. The Boomsma family's 2023 restoration returned it to vineyard work, preserving the villa's archival integrity while establishing a working estate in Castellina in Chianti. Today visitors find Sangiovese, Trebbiano Toscano, and Canaiolo Nero grown across the property, released as Toscano IGT in white, red, and rosé. The estate operates at the pace of its vines—unhurried, grounded in countryside rhythms, offering tastings and visits that honor both the land's history and its present life.
