VERDOLINI GIANFRANCO

Gianfranco Verdolini works across four Marche denominations, each demanding precision and patience. His Cònero releases rest for 24 months before bottling, drawing dark cherry and violet notes from the Montepulciano and Sangiovese vines of seven municipalities. The cellar also produces Vernaccia di Serrapetrona as both spumante and rosso—a rare technical challenge few pursue. His reserve Verdicchio expressions, from both Matelica and Castelli di Jesi zones, require minimum 18-month élevage and showcase the white grape's mineral spine in full expression.
