Acconciamessa Patrizia
Collecorvino · Province of Pescara · Abruzzo
Acconciamessa Patrizia operates from a restored 1830 farmhouse in the hills of Collecorvino, where four generations of olive growing have succeeded one another on the terroir at the foot of the Abruzzese Adriatic. The reference denomination is Aprutino Pescarese DOP, one of Italy's most renowned olive-growing areas, even beyond its borders, and the dominant cultivar is Dritta, which finds its ideal climate here. That climate is the true interlocutor of the company: the cold air descending from the Gran Sasso meets the salty sea breezes from the coast, and in that thermal difference, the extra virgin olive oils build their character. The result is a medium-low intensity fruitiness, with an herbaceous depth that doesn't overpower but accompanies, a measure of a demanding environment rather than an intervention in the mill. The bottling thus yields an oil that speaks of the Pescara hills even before the hand of its producer, rooted in a strip of territory where mountains and the Adriatic are just a few kilometers apart.
