Accordini
Faedis · Province of Udine · Friuli-Venezia Giulia
Accordini cultivates eleven hectares on the hills of Campeglio and Prepotto, where Eocene marls and sandstones and a south-easterly exposure dictate contained yields and aromatic concentration. The company only vinifies its own hand-harvested grapes, distributing them across three denominations of the Colli Orientali del Friuli: Ramandolo, a sweet wine from Verduzzo Friulano; Rosazzo, with its mineral texture; and Picolit, offered in both dry and passito versions. The training systems — short cappuccina and Guyot — and the choice to work independently signify a philosophy of typicity rather than volume, where technology remains at the service of agronomic practice. The three denominations compose a portrait of Friuli's rare wines, where sweet and passito wines coexist with mineral hill whites. The estate is open to visitors: it's worth the climb to these slopes to understand, in front of the vineyard, why such low yields and ancient soils produce wines of this density.
