Barbaresco DOCGBarolo DOCGDogliani DOCG+1

From Roddino, in the province of Cuneo, Adriano Massimo crafts four Piedmontese red wines, all with guaranteed denominations, each bound by precise rules. The range varies in breadth: on one side, local Dolcetti, such as the Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba, an expression confined to a single municipality; on the other, the pinnacles of Nebbiolo, with Barolo requiring almost four years of aging before reaching the bottle. In between, Barbaresco and Dogliani complete a spectrum that brings together immediacy and anticipation. This range is built to contend with the most demanding terroirs of the Langhe, where Nebbiolo demands time and patience to reveal its complexity. The distance between a ready-to-drink Dolcetto and a Barolo that matures for years speaks to two different ways of understanding the same craft: one linked to fruit and drinkability, the other to the slow construction of structure and depth. In both cases, the denomination dictates the perimeter, and the work in the vineyard and cellar fills it with substance.
