AGRICOLA COLCERESA DI BRESOLIN ERICA

Colceresa · Province of Vicenza · Veneto

Ciliegia di Marostica IGP

In Colceresa, on the Vicenza hills, Erica Bresolin's Agricola cultivates a single denomination: the Ciliegia di Marostica IGP, the cherry that has become a symbol of this corner of Veneto. The orchards extend into the area of the eight municipalities that have refined this cultivation over time, where the bright red fruits must reach at least twenty-three millimeters in diameter to meet strict standards of caliber and freshness. The credit also goes to the soil: the calcareous and well-drained slopes around Marostica offer favorable growing conditions, which translate into cherries appreciated for both their size and complexity of taste. Each harvest is a direct interpretation of the terroir that shapes the denomination, an intertwining of limestone, exposure, and hilly climate. Bresolin works within these precise constraints, where quality does not arise from abundance but from adherence to a threshold, measured fruit by fruit.
