AGRUMI DEL BORGO DI NOTO

AGRUMI DEL BORGO DI NOTO cultivates Limone di Siracusa IGP in the southeastern corner of Sicily, in Noto, within the territory of the ten municipalities that make up the denomination. The variety is Femminello, and its particularity lies in its re-flowering throughout the year: the same plant offers three distinct harvests, each with its own character that the producer follows without forcing. The Primofiore brings the vegetal vigor of spring, the Bianchetto the more composed sweetness of winter, and the Verdello the late luminosity of the warm season. Continuous harvesting on the Siracusan coastal terroir enhances the lively acidity and juicy pulp that have made this fruit a benchmark among the island's citrus. It is a lemon that works as well in the kitchen as in perfumery, due to the richness of essential oils in its peel. From Noto thus comes a product that concentrates the soil's minerality and the generosity of the coastal climate, and which, through the seasonal rhythm of its three flowerings, tells the story of the entire citrus year on the Iblean side.
