Recioto di Soave DOCGSoave Superiore DOCG

Alba operates in the Soave area, which spans twelve municipalities amidst the volcanic soils and altitudes of the Veronese region—conditions that distinctly separate two profiles. On one hand, there's Recioto di Soave, produced in both passito (sweet, dried-grape) and sparkling versions from Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave; on the other, Soave Superiore, a dry white that complements these grape varieties with Chardonnay. Both wines exceed 12% alcohol and find their common thread in the territory's minerality. The technical distinction between the two denominations defines the winery's work. The sweet concentration of the passito requires a measured fermentation, capable of preserving the sugars of the dried grapes; the taut and crisp structure of the Superiore, conversely, demands step-by-step monitored maturation. Alba harmonizes these two opposing registers, navigating between the patience of appassimento (grape drying) and the precision of still white wine, without one ever overshadowing the other.
