Albertini

With an address in Pianello Val Tidone and an eye on the Veronese hills, Albertini operates where the Romans first recognized the uniqueness of the soils, a heritage the company proudly claims on its labels. At its heart are two guaranteed denominations built on Garganega and indigenous white grapes: Recioto di Soave, a sweet wine from dried grapes, and Soave Superiore, both DOCG. These two expressions—passito and sparkling wine—reach a minimum of 12% alcohol thanks to a slow maturation on partially wild slopes, where the landscape retains an ancient character. It is in this slowness that the wines gain body and depth, without force. The winery welcomes visitors: stopping in the cellar is the best way to grasp the difference between a meditation Recioto and a structured Soave Superiore, and to understand how such diverse expressions can emerge from a single white grape variety. A tasting visit translates into the glass what the soils have been telling for millennia.
