Alle Vigne di Giusti Paolo Franco operates within a narrow and particular perimeter: Candia dei Colli Apuani, a denomination that stretches across three municipalities on the slopes of the Apuan Alps, where the marble mountains descend towards the Tuscan sea. Here the landscape is vertical, made of limestone slopes and terraces overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, and the vine coexists with arduous viticulture, carved into the inclines. A single denomination, but explored in all its nuances. The producer concentrates his work on Vermentino, a white grape variety that gives identity to the entire area, and extracts different interpretations: still and sparkling versions, dry whites, and late harvest interpretations, all respecting the minimum alcohol content of 10.5% set by the regulations. The maritime influence brings salinity and tension, while the limestone soils impart nerve and verticality. Each vintage thus becomes a different way of telling the story of the same Apuan terroir, suspended between rock, altitude, and sea wind.
