Allegretti

Near Castelnuovo Berardenga, Allegretti is a small organic estate guided by four generations, overlooking the slopes marked by the Malena stream. The vineyards occupy the border between Chianti Classico and Chianti Colli Senesi, on clayey soils with favorable exposures for classic Tuscan grape varieties: Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and Trebbiano. The declared denomination is a single one, Toscano IGT, which here takes shape primarily in white grapes vinified in a fresh style. The soil composition dictates the field choices: Sangiovese remains the protagonist of structured reds, while the white grapes find their most direct destination in Toscano IGT. Organic management is not a superficial label but the method by which the family interprets the natural vocation of these ridges. The small scale allows for meticulous control, consistent with a project that links agricultural work to the interpretation of the landscape. It is a corner of the Siena area where the border between two Chianti zones becomes, more than an administrative limit, a resource for the variety of wines.
