Ambrosi Francesco

In Vo', on the Euganean Hills, Ambrosi Francesco cultivates vineyards where Moscato giallo thrives on slopes shaped by volcanic geology. The estate's sole denomination is Colli Euganei Fior d'Arancio DOCG, whose name evokes the orange blossom aromas that characterize these wines. From the same grape, the winery produces three distinct expressions: a dry white, a lively sparkling wine, and a concentrated passito, which gathers sun-ripened fruit into a sweet and dense version. Each bottle reaches at least ten and a half percent alcohol, a measure that signals the inherent intensity of this Euganean zone. The single denomination, interpreted in its three forms, thus covers the entire spectrum of local Moscato giallo, from the dry sip to the sparkling bubble to the meditation sweet wine. It is the volcanic soil, more than the cellar, that dictates the character: it imparts to the wines the aromatic drive and maturity recognized by the regulations, and which is found identically in the dry, sparkling, and passito versions here.
