Colli Euganei Fior d'Arancio DOCG

At the foot of the Euganean Hills, where ancient geological forces have left volcanic soil, Sergio Ambrosi crafts a Moscato giallo with a crystalline profile. The land imparts an aromatic intensity to the grape that permeates the entire area of seventeen municipalities around Padua, and its sole denomination — Colli Euganei Fior d'Arancio DOCG — captures all its nuances. The expression unfolds in three registers: a still white that tempers sweetness in favor of freshness, a sparkling wine that suspends the aroma in its bubbles, and a passito that concentrates the fruit without heaviness. With a minimum alcohol content of 10.5%, these wines demonstrate that restraint is not synonymous with timidity, but with calibrated balance. The personality of Moscato here does not impose itself: it allows itself to be slowly deciphered, version after version, like a single voice changing its intonation depending on the context. It is a work of subtraction and precision, rooted in a landscape that the volcano shaped long before man.
