Lugana DOC

A single denomination, Lugana DOC, and a grape variety that encapsulates it: Turbiana, the Trebbiano that shapes the whites of this corner of Brescia. Ambrosio Ennio e Figlio Diego vinifies in Pozzolengo, within a district of five municipalities, and interprets the three versions provided by the regulations—bianco, superiore, and riserva—as progressive degrees of structure rather than separate lines. The character originates from the subsoil: calcareous soils of volcanic origin and the cold currents descending from northern Garda, conditions that push towards mineral and taut whites. The minimum alcohol content of 11% and stylistic rigor frame a production that foregoes breadth for the depth of a single identity. It is a family-run business, declared in its very name, that measures itself by its ability to interpret a unique terroir through three thresholds of refinement, without seeking elsewhere what Lugana grants within its borders.
