In Celano, on the drained bed of what was once Lake Fucino, Angeloni Maria Domenica cultivates a single crop: the Patata del Fucino IGP. The denomination encompasses the nine municipalities arranged around the large reclaimed basin, a hollow where millennia of deposited sediments have left a deep, loose, and rich soil, of a kind rarely found in Abruzzo. It is an agricultural landscape born from reclamation, and the potato has become its symbolic fruit. From this singular soil emerge tubers with firm flesh and a regular shape, recognizable by a skin that remains adherent and doesn't detach during cooking.
