ANTICA MASSERIA VENDITTI

In Castelvenere, in the Sannio Beneventano area, Antica Masseria Venditti cultivates vineyards on volcanic soils stretching between the Matese and Taburno mountains, a land dedicated to viticulture for centuries. The winery has been producing organic wines since 1988 and eliminated added sulfites in 2013, choices that speak volumes about their direct relationship with the land and their craft. As a FIVI-associated company, it guarantees producer control over every phase, from the vineyard to fermentation and sales. Stainless steel vinification preserves the expression of Aglianico and other black grape varieties destined for their sole reference denomination, Aglianico del Taburno DOCG, which mandates at least twenty-four months of aging before reaching the glass. The result is a red wine that demands patience and rewards with the austere character of this Campanian grape variety. The masseria welcomes visits and tastings: walking through its rooms and tasting on-site is the most tangible way to understand what it means here to work without additions and with a single oenological goal.
