🏡 Tastings & visitsToscano IGT

In Capannoli, in the province of Pisa, in the Alta Valdera, Arcenni manages two parallel production chains that rarely coexist on the same estate. The first is wine: since 2015, the family has cultivated Sangiovese, Trebbiano Toscano, and Canaiolo Nero, vinified into reds, whites, and rosés under the Toscano IGT denomination, the region's broadest and most versatile framework. The second is heliciculture, the breeding of Helix Aspersa Müller snails, meticulously controlled from growth to final processing. This dual focus is not an eccentricity but a coherence: in both cases, Arcenni champions supply chain transparency and respect for biological rhythms, whether it's the ripening of grapes or the slow cycle of snails. It's a company that asks to be understood holistically, without separating the winery from the farm. And you can do so in person: visits and tastings are open to the public, an opportunity to sample Valdera wines and understand how vineyards and snails coexist in the same place.
