Arditi Giorgio

In Rosignano Monferrato, one of the hubs of the extensive Barbera del Monferrato Superiore DOCG area, Arditi Giorgio operates within a denomination that encompasses over two hundred Piemontese municipalities. The repertoire draws from the grape varieties that have defined Monferrato's oenological identity — Barbera first and foremost, but also Freisa, Grignolino, and Dolcetto — used in purity or in blends, according to a tradition rooted in generations of practice. The hallmark of the denomination lies in time: at least fourteen months of mandatory aging, which imposes composure on the more impetuous Barbera, yielding structure and depth in exchange for immediate drinkability. The result is an interpretation of the territory that prioritizes longevity and layering over ease, consistent with an area that has made this red its signature. The winery does not welcome visitors, so its measure must be sought in the glass: the bottles remain the most faithful document of the more demanding version of Monferrato Barbera, designed to withstand the years.
