Arione Valerio operates in Santo Stefano Belbo, within the Asti area encompassing fifty-one municipalities, where Moscato bianco and its accompanying aromatic grape varieties thrive on the Piemontese hills. There's only one denomination, Asti DOCG, but it's expressed in its full breadth: the producer masters its entire spectrum rather than stopping at the most known and widespread version. From that Moscato come still whites, sparkling wines, and Metodo Classico releases, the latter bound by prolonged bottle aging that alters their character. Each cuvée must exceed 11.5% alcohol, a threshold in this area that distinguishes true ripeness from mere aromatic freshness and necessitates harvesting at the optimal moment.
