Avogaro
Avogaro operates on the volcanic soils of Soave, where Garganega dominates a production area spread across twelve municipalities in the Verona region. From this grape, complemented by other varieties, comes Soave Superiore DOCG, a structured white wine built on a minimum of 12% alcohol, designed to withstand time without sacrificing clarity. The same grapes—with the addition of Trebbiano di Soave—are used for Recioto di Soave DOCG, obtained through appassimento (drying) and offered in both still and sparkling versions. The two denominations trace a dual register: on one side, the everyday, mineral character of the still white; on the other, the sweet, expansive concentration of the passito winemaking. It's a diptych that reveals, with a single dominant grape variety, how far Garganega can stretch between sobriety and opulence.
