Angela Posillipo works with five denominations from northern Campania, three DOC and two IGT, on the volcanic soils that once supplied the imperial tables of Rome. The range is best understood by type rather than by label: full-bodied reds are born from Aglianico of Falerno del Massico and Galluccio, capable of reserves exceeding twelve degrees; mineral whites come from Aversa, with its Asprinio base, and from Roccamonfina; the IGT Terre del Volturno gathers what exceeds the stricter regulations without sacrificing the character of the place. Five origins mean five production grammars: distinct aging protocols and alcohol levels, calibrated to microclimates and grape varieties that change from municipality to municipality across a wide territory. It is a work of precision rather than quantity, where mastering the journey from volcano to glass requires treating each denomination as a unique challenge — the delicate Asprinio and the robust Falerno do not tolerate the same touch.
