AZ. AGR. CASONATO DANIELE
Annone Veneto · Province of Venezia · Veneto
In Annone Veneto, Daniele Casonato's winery works with two Veneto DOCGs of opposing characters. From Lison DOCG, where Tai leads the white grape varieties, come mineral-driven wines with a minimum alcohol content of around 12 degrees. Piave Malanotte DOCG, on the other hand, follows the red path, with Raboso Piave as the protagonist and a 36-month aging period necessary to tame its structure and natural acidity. White and red thus tell two different ways of interpreting the Venetian plain, united by their dependence on local microclimates. The winery welcomes visitors for tastings: those who come to Annone Veneto can compare, at the same counter, the minerality of Lison and the long aging of Malanotte, understanding firsthand the impact of time and terroir on these two denominations. It's an invitation to read viticultural Veneto through its contrasts, glass in hand.
