From Cupramontana, in the Ancona area, Simone Cherubini oversees four Marche DOCG wines, bringing together distinct oenological styles. At the sparkling end is Vernaccia di Serrapetrona, crafted from Vernaccia nera; at the red end is Cònero, where Montepulciano and Sangiovese require at least twenty-four months before release. In between, two parallel Verdicchio Riserva wines—Matelica and Castelli di Jesi—translate the same white grape variety into two different territorial interpretations. The portfolio expands not by accumulation but by correspondence with the map: each denomination presides over a precise area, from the mountainous hinterland to the Ancona hills.
