In Anagni, in the Frosinone area, Azienda agricola Coletti Conti works on the volcanic soils that shape Lazio's iconic red, Cesanese del Piglio DOCG, the winery's sole denomination. On the slopes, the company cultivates Cesanese di Affile and Cesanese comune, the two expressions of the same grape variety, from which it produces wines faithful to rigorous standards. The regulations set the benchmarks—at least twelve degrees alcohol and four months of aging—and on that foundation, Coletti Conti builds structure and depth, without seeking shortcuts. We are in a small area, just five municipalities, where the link between vine and geology matters more than any market strategy. It is precisely this adherence to the volcanic soil that distinguishes the winery's reds: wines that tell of a circumscribed origin and proudly claim it.
