🏡 Tastings & visitsScanzo DOCG

In Scanzorosciate, nestled in the Bergamo hills, the De Toma family has tended Moscato di Scanzo vineyards since 1894, spanning five generations. This unique territory is home to an indigenous grape variety that thrives only here, a condition that makes Scanzo DOCG—the winery's sole denomination—impossible to replicate elsewhere. Production is divided between the red version and the passito, each aged for at least twenty-four months. This extended aging period builds the complexity that distinguishes the wine, alongside an alcohol content exceeding 17%. Here, family tradition and technical precision converge harmoniously: the former safeguards the grape variety, while the latter governs its transformation. The winery is open for tastings: a visit to Scanzorosciate allows guests to sample both the red and passito side-by-side, and to understand, directly in the territory, why this Moscato finds no equivalent outside these few hilly hectares.
