Asti DOCG

Fabrizio Ferrero runs his farm in Santo Stefano Belbo, among the fifty-one Piedmontese municipalities that make up the `Asti DOCG` zone. Here, `Moscato bianco` and related aromatic grape varieties dictate the character of the terroir, a delicate and fragrant profile that the Asti climate imprints on the glass. From a single denomination, the winery produces a wide range: still whites, `spumante`, and `metodo classico` aged wines, each undergoing at least one month of rest to set the aroma before release. The minimum alcohol content of 11.5% and strict adherence to the `disciplinare` place Ferrero's wines among the rigorous interpretations of the appellation, where precision is as important as fragrance. It's a work of subtraction rather than exhibition: a single territory, interpreted in all its variations from still to sparkling, with the consistency that the denomination demands from those who inhabit it day after day.
