Az. Agr. Ippolito di Musso Angela

Sicilia IGPSicilia DOC

Angela Musso cultivates the inland lands of Sicily, growing both olive groves and vineyards, two supply chains that converge under the island's emblem. Her two protected denominations clearly divide the registers: on one side, Sicilia IGP extra virgin olive oil, on the other, the wines of the regional DOC. The extra virgin olive oil opens with an unusual note of green tomato and adheres to strict parameters — acidity below 0.5% and polyphenols over 100 mg/kg — a sign of timely pressing and olive groves rooted in mineral soils. In the cellar, the repertoire expands. Nero d'Avola and Nerello Mascalese, alongside selected international grape varieties, yield red, white, and rosé wines, always vinified dry, with an alcohol content never below 12%. Everything comes from the same vast area, over three hundred and ninety municipalities, which brings together diverse climates and altitudes. The interpretation is clear: here, oil and wine are not separate branches but two ways of questioning the same terroir, measuring Sicily through what ripens in the sun and what rests in the barrel.
