Az. Agr. Monte Dall'Ora di Venturini Carlo

In San Pietro in Cariano, in the heart of Valpolicella, Monte Dall'Ora by Carlo Venturini works with two sister denominations: Amarone and Recioto della Valpolicella, both DOCG. They are distinguished by their outcome—one dry, the other sweet—but united by the same raw material, harvested vineyard by vineyard and grape variety by grape variety, each picked at the exact moment of its ripeness. Selections from individual parcels are the starting point here, not a prestigious label. Behind the daily choices lies a declared idea: to know the territory even before the vineyard, to interpret the place as a condition for every action in the cellar. This is not an abstract formula, because it is the same land where their children will grow, and this rootedness guides their way of working more than any technique. The result is two complex and distinctly territorial wines, which tell the story of Valpolicella in its two voices—the power of Amarone and the sweet concentration of Recioto—as different expressions of a bond with the land that the winery describes without reservation.
