On the Sicilian coast near Siracusa, the SEBJ Giardina farm cultivates Limone di Siracusa IGP, specializing in the Femminello variety characteristic of this Mediterranean strip. The harvest rhythm follows three production cycles throughout the year—Primofiore, Bianchetto, and Verdello—which yield fruits with marked acidity and full juiciness, each with a slightly different character depending on the season. The IGP area encompasses ten municipalities, and within this perimeter, the producer leverages deep-rooted local knowledge to preserve the fruit's character. The combination of coastal climate, light, and sea-facing soils creates an intense aromatic profile that distinguishes the Siracusan lemon among Italian citrus fruits.
