Selvagrossa was born on land cleared twice, first in the early twentieth century and then along the Gothic Line after the war: a Marche farm marked by family history and the front lines. Today, the Taddei brothers express this heritage through four DOCG wines that unite the reds and whites of Central Italy. The rare Vernaccia di Serrapetrona, a dark-fleshed black grape, becomes both a sparkling wine and a red; Cònero blends Montepulciano and Sangiovese with twenty-four months of aging. Completing the picture are two Verdicchio Riserva wines—Verdicchio di Matelica and Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi—which undergo at least eighteen months of aging to establish their mineral backbone and saline edge, making them suitable for time. It's a range that spans from sparkling wines to structured reds without losing focus, held together by a coherent idea of balance and patience. The winery opens its doors to visitors: here, directly in the cellar, one can taste the reconciliation between a scarred land and the wine that now tells its story, glass after glass.
